The Water Garden & Memory Arboretum
The Water Garden to the north of the 'Apple House' was created in 1994. it was designed by a great family friend Neil O'Kennedy. Water flows in a meandering rocky stream down to a circular pond. Wild marjoram, watercress and brooklime are among the plants grown beside the pool and stream. This garden is a work in progress.

The Memory Arboretum

Beyond the water garden is an enclosure for geese and ducks with a withy arch over a path. A mixture of trees, still quite young have been planted here and in the field beyond. In the enclosure is a weeping silver-leafed pear tree.

The Memory Arboretum was started in 1994 and all the trees that are planted in it have a special association with Kinoith. Some commemorate members of the family, friends. Others were chosen to mark special events. Many of the trees are treasured presents from 12 Week Certificate class students at the Ballymaloe Cookery School.
